In ministry, as leaders, we often feel the need to hide our difficulties, struggles, and weaknesses. How can we guide others through their challenges if we appear weak or struggling ourselves?
The truth is, we are incapable, and we are supposed to show our weakness! Admitting our weaknesses is an act of humility and an open invitation for God's power. Our weakness fuels God's work and allows His glory to shine through.
Scripture Insight
"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me." — 2 Corinthians 12:9
"But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong." — 1 Corinthians 1:27
"In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express." — Romans 8:26
When things get hard—and they will—invite Him into your troubles and inability.
He was with the disciples in the boat when the waves got rocky, AND He delivered them safely to the other side.
He was with Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fiery furnace, AND He delivered them out of it.
He was with Paul and Silas in prison in the midst of their worship, AND He delivered them out of the prison walls.
God walks with us through the fire and delivers us from it! 🙌🔥
Our weaknesses are not a hindrance but an opportunity for God's power to be revealed.
When we choose to show weakness and admit our inability to "do it ourselves," we don't weaken ourselves in the eyes of those we are ministering to. Instead, we are actively showing them the GOSPEL! We demonstrate that we are not good enough, strong enough, brave enough, or smart enough to do it on our own. We need a Savior, and we need His Spirit to guide and empower us.
Embrace your weaknesses and allow God's strength to work through you.

2 Corinthians 12:10: That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
